POÉSIE URBAINE — The poetic lyrics of François are harmoniously laid down on the jazz or rock melodies of the two musicians: Nicolas and Michel.
They have just released their first album D'Un Mot and their first video clip Soyez ! directed by Lucas Racasse.
This trio is the result of a long process of domesticating poetry through music and vice-versa.
L'Ami Terrien haunted the slam stages of Belgium and elsewhere, bringing along their ghostly friends such as Nougaro, Brassens Gainsbourg, Coluche and Ferré in his inkwell, while Eminem, Lofofora, Massilia Sound System, Pink Floyd, Saez and so many others beat out the rhythm in their eardrums.
As for Michel and Nicolas, they made skins and strings vibrate, in a 'transgender' style without concern for any formatting, but with the will to create their own language with a certain taste for interdisciplinarity...

The encounter of these multiverses and these sounds was made of creation and recreation, the words patiently seeking to nestle between the notes while the rhythms were rushed into the phrases: a slow and majestic dance of alchemical research.
Thus François, Michel and Nicolas, each following their own path, created new mixes, with penetrating sounds, musical areas where they could dream and travel... mixing the sound of skins to the drapery of strings at the heart of their lyrics.
While the writings of l'Ami are always looking to exit the "style", guitars and drums are soaring in jazz, rock, bossa sounds... always intelligent and sensitive, sometimes even going as far as chumming with lift-music for live and funny tracks.
The music of this trio is more than just a soundscape for the words of l'Ami. It is made of bounces, challenges, connivances, swing and roots.
The adventure of l'Ami Terrien within the Collectif du Lion started in 2009 with Un Éléphant dans la Ville... de Liège and continued with the street show Sous Les Pavés and the different versions of Aux Âmes Etc.
